About

A practice built on intentional touch and honest answers.

Therapy Designed for You is owned and operated by Jake Dembow, a licensed massage therapist in Bedford, NH. Jake joined the practice under Jeanie Gorski in March 2025, and purchased it when Jeanie retired in April 2026. Today the practice continues with Jake and Denise Gagne.

Who we work with

Active people of all ages. The largest part of our practice. Weekend warriors who still lift, ride, hike, swim. People in the last few years of a career who want to set themselves up for a strong retirement — traveling, growing their fitness pursuits into old age, staying active with kids entering adulthood and grandkids on the way. Active across decades.

People who want real therapeutic depth. Not the "fluff and buff" of chain spas. You want pressure that feels like you've been worked — the "hurt so good" kind — but with intention behind every stroke, not just force. We incorporate relaxation techniques so you can sink into the work, but the work is the point.

People new to bodywork. A smaller part of the practice but an important one. You haven't had much experience with massage and you're not sure what to expect. We move slowly, communicate constantly, and explain what we're finding. The goal is to give you a real first relationship with bodywork — one you'll want to come back to.

What we believe

Massage should mean something. Intentional touch — not just force. Real depth — not fluff and buff. Honest answers about what's going on with your body — not vague platitudes about "releasing toxins."

The chain spas have their place. We're not them. Every session here is built around what you actually need, with explanations of what we're finding and what to do about it between visits.

What you leave with

Above all, education is paramount. We want clients to be educated on themselves — their postures, body mechanics, activities, lifestyle habits — so they can be aware of what they're doing and how their tissues respond accordingly.

Why do you have recurring trigger points in the same spot? Why does your hip lock after meetings? Why does that old injury keep flaring? We want you to understand the answer, and we want to send you out with strategies to keep improving — improved body mechanics, postures, positioning, stretching, strengthening — so you can use them daily, between sessions and well beyond.

Ready when you are.
